DaVinci Resolve, as the newer kid on the block, is gaining ground. For quick editing, DaVinci's Cut Page mode pretty much suffices for 90% of the screen capture and live video editing I use in an eLearning context - and it is that which I use most, even though the most common recommendation for the software is its colour correction facility.

I can't fault Chris Parr's excellent and detailed analysis of the pros and cons, in the big 'Which is best...?' video editing debate. But for me personally, for eLearning design rather than film making, I still really like DaVinci Resolve...
